I began learning piano at age six, and what started as after-school lessons grew into a deep, enduring passion. Over the years that followed, I worked toward the highest levels of formal study — passing my ABRSM Grade 8 in 2021, and earning a place at the New Zealand School of Music through their competitive audition process.
Those experiences gave me firsthand knowledge of exactly what it takes to succeed in these exams. I know the repertoire, the technical standards, the theory, and the pressure — because I've sat those same exams and auditions myself. That insight is something I bring directly into every lesson.
At 19, I'm passionate about sharing music with others and helping students reach their own goals — whether that's playing for pure enjoyment, passing a grade exam, or auditioning for music school.
Lessons at JessicaPiano are never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand how each student thinks, what music moves them, and what they want to achieve — then I build a programme around that.
